How to increase traffic to your blog
If you've got some technical expertise and you're looking to increase your blog traffic stick to this winning formula: the "How to". A successful how to blog post (and your key to increasing blog traffic) has four key elements:
- Blog Title
- Easy to read data
- Code or example
- Keyword repetition
1. Blog title
When it comes to titling your blog post, try naming your post to something you might type in as a Google search. People looking for answers will often type in things like "How to increase blog traffic" or "How to increase traffic to your blog". Pick a title and stick to it.
2. Easy to read data
Blog posts that are easy to read get a better response. Try adding things like bulleted or numbered lists, if that makes sense.
3. Code or example
If you're getting technical, provide a snippet of code or examples of what you're talking about.
4. Keyword repetition
Once you've decided on a title for your blog, repeat the keywords throughout your post - but don't go overboard (This article for example repeats the words "traffic" and "increase" 5 times each - including the times in this sentence).
By way of example, here's a link to our most popular blog post ever:

I agree with your tips. It really does start with the keywords that we use on our title and our content, especially our title because it is the first thing that the visitors will notice and the most important part of the article. As for the content, you're right about not going overboard with the amount of keywords in it because that will do more harm than good and also because Google has changed its algorithm to see through those kind of things.

Your points are valid. However the beginning of the end of keyword analysis started with the Google Hummingbird update. From here on I suggest focusing on "topics" or "concepts" over "keyword". It may take longer now to achieve a first page ranking, but that unfortunately is outside our control
