Grace Under Pressure: 2010 Emmy Nominations

I'd like to take a moment and recognize the accomplishments of my team.

With the cooperation of a small group of talented and dedicated people, Metal Toad Media was able to smoothly handle the planning, Drupal hosting, coordination, data entry and software updates required for the 2010 Primetime Emmy Nominations, which were announced at earlier today (5:45AM PST - that's early!).

At its height, traffic on the website Emmys.com was up 650% from its peak last year, yet the website held steady and delivered the new information without any interruption - despite a trimmed down server profile. The work involved in prepping the information was fairly grueling with a few of our teams members working a 16+ hour day ending at 1AM and starting up again at 4AM that same day. There's something to be said about the grace and dedication of those folks able to handle those kinds of demands with the professionalism and clearheadedness that I saw.

So a big thank you Barrett, Chuck, Dylan & Brent - and congratulations to the Emmys team! We're looking forward to being there during the primetime televised event in August.
