B2B Communication. By Writing on Windows. With Markers.

“At Metal Toad, we do things differently.”

For instance, when moving into the 4th floor of downtown Portland’s historic Yeon Building, Metal Toad moved in with a bang. An aggressive outbound window writing campaign headed up by Dan Linn resulted in a few games of hangman, holiday greetings, and even an expertly drawn Portland Trailblazers logo. The Toads left no south-facing pane uncolored!

And our neighbors responded! Lockheed Martin Energy Efficiency Services (located at 1220 SW Morrison St.) were quite the hangman competition. Eventually, our daily back-and-forth led to a meetup at Brasserie Montmartre where both sides engaged in a personal and professional exchange.

I’m happy to report that we’re all now best friends. . .between 8am and 5pm. And even more so at happy hours throughout downtown Portland!

A few Lockheed employees even strolled over for the Metal Toad Open House. Along with them, our neighbors within the Yeon Building were drawn in by the Toad allure - and we were happy to receive them! For Toads, being neighborly isn’t about taking a fruitcake to our new housemates upon arrival - it’s about interacting in a proactive way to facilitate meaningful personal and professional conversations. These interactions can manifest themselves in a number of ways. Toads do it with dry erase markers and witticism. And beer.
