Rightsline's diverse array of customer documents necessitated the manual extraction and input of various fields from legal documents into their database—a process that was both time-consuming and prone to errors. To enhance efficiency and accuracy, Rightsline sought a Generative AI solution capable of streamlining and automating this task.

SOLUTION: GENAI TO THE RESCUE

In collaboration with Metal Toad, an AWS Advanced Consulting Partner specializing in data, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, Rightsline implemented an automated document processing workflow. The process begins when a document is uploaded, triggering an AWS Step Function that orchestrates the following sequence:

  1. Text Extraction: AWS Textract extracts text from the document, parsing it into line blocks.
  2. Schema Retrieval: An AWS Lambda function retrieves the document schema via Rightsline's API, utilizing schema insights to construct a prompt.
  3. Data Extraction: The prompt is sent to Amazon Bedrock, leveraging Claude V3, to extract data in JSON format.

RESULTS

This solution effectively automates the extraction and structuring of data from legal documents, significantly reducing manual effort and minimizing errors.

The implementation of this Generative AI solution yielded substantial benefits for Rightsline:
