Handover Alliance; Making AI Do the Tedious Work

Written by Talia Lippincott | Mar 11, 2026 9:24:01 PM

My group's Hackathon project was to create an AI based system to more efficiently create "Handover Documents" (hence, the name). A Handover Document is basically is a document that shows what the developers do to show the client and AWS. This part of production is very important but can oftentimes take a backseat to the actual dev work.

The approach that my group decided to go with was to see what resources we had available with AWS and then see what we could do from there. The dev team opted to use AWS Bedrock(Claude) and Github while implementing the commitments to the hypothetical customer and making the document professional quality.

While I wasn't a technical person on this team, I still very much appreciated the creative approach that the dev's had when solving this problem. Handover documents aren't something that I'd necessarily think to try to problem solve but it's something I'd certainly like to be automated if it was apart of my work pipeline.

I've said this before but the Metal Toad team is full of very kind and gifted people. I will always feel fortunate that I got a chance to work here.
