Amanda McPherson is a founding member of the Linux Foundation and created (and currently runs) all marketing, web, events, and developer programs for the Foundation. She has been intimately involved in many of the technology world’s most disruptive technologies, from launching Java in 1996 to driving open source strategy and marketing for Linux and many other projects. Much of her work has been on the forefront of content marketing and she has produced videos, authored numerous white papers, and advocated via opinion pieces on open source issues - a matter near and dear to Toads’ hearts. She has worked in marketing, writing, and PR for high tech companies big and small for over 15 years and has grown teams, budgets, and revenues throughout her career. Additionally, she is also a published fiction writer and teacher.
Charles Wilhoite is a Managing Director with Willamette Management Associates as well as a Trustee of the Meyer Memorial Trust and Board Member for Legacy Health, the Oregon State Bar, the Nature Conservancy and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. Before joining Willamette Management Associates, Charles was a senior auditor for KPMG, an international accounting and consulting firm and has also served as a Chair for the Portland Development Commission, the Portland Business Alliance, Oregon Health & Science University, and Urban League of Portland. Charles is an alumni of Arizona State University where he holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance.
Mark D. Moreland
Mark Moreland is a CFO with more than 25 years of experience in consumer-facing companies. Most recently, Mr. Moreland acted as CFO of the publicly-traded Craft Brew Alliance, which brews well-known brands like Widmer, Redhook, Kona Brewing, and Omission Beer. He has also served as the CFO for Knowledge Universe (Kindercare) and Hollywood Entertainment, as well as the DVP of Finance for Kmart and as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte & Touche. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS in Economics from University of Texas in Arlington.
Reggie Wideman is a Principal Consultant for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and has more than 14 years in the area of business analysis and digital storytelling. Over his career he has worked with industry leaders like Coca Cola, Marvel Comics, Adidas, and Toyota to take great ideas to market and achieve digital transformations. Prior to joining Salesforce Reggie worked across a variety of companies including Wells Fargo, Cisco and Janrain - and has served as a Chair and Committee Member for the Technology Association of Oregon and the Northwest Minority Supplier Development Council. Reggie holds a BA in Philosophy from Goucher College as well as a Writing degree from John Hopkins University.
Sandra McDonough has 30 years of civic and community leadership and service and serves as President and CEO of the Portland Business Alliance. Before joining the Alliance, Ms. McDonough worked in the energy industry for two decades as VP of External Affairs for National Energy & Gas Transmission Inc. as well as VP of Communications & External Affairs for PG&E Gas Transmission. Earlier in life, Ms. McDonough worked for PacifiCorp, holding positions in both Oregon and Washington, D.C., and even served as a reporter for 10 years with reporting stints at The Oregonian and the Seattle Times. She also serves on the boards of Associated Oregon Industries, Travel Portland, Greater Portland Inc., New Avenues for Youth, Thomas Edison High School, the University of Oregon Alumni Association, and U.S. National Bank Community Advisory Board. She is a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum of Oregon and holds bachelor degrees in Journalism and German from the University of Oregon.
Taufik Ma is a technology executive with more than 20 years of experience in the semiconductor and enterprise / cloud infrastructure markets. He has served as General Manager, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Technology Officer, SVP of Product Management, and Director Strategic Planning during his many years at Intel, Emulex, and also at startup-sized ventures like Aarohi Communications. Taufik thrives on embracing disruptive technologies and driving them to commercial success... the most recent example was building a cloud/datacenter networking business from scratch at Emulex. Taufik has a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University.
