Project Manager

Metal Toad Media is looking for a talented Project Manager to join our Portland team. If you enjoy working on the web and you've got the right Project Management experience we want to hear from you!

IMPORTANT: This is an in office position, so you must be local to Portland, Oregon. No outsourced firms or remote workers need apply.

About You

You will oversee website projects built using open source technology (95% Drupal).

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years of web experience
  • 1+ year of Project Manager experience
  • 5+ websites under your belt as a Project Manager

Required Skills:

  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A desire to help people
  • The ability to control project costs
  • The ability to write clear and concise emails
  • Good time and phone call management skills
  • Web fundamentals: SSL, FTP, HTML & CSS (you likely won't use them, you just need to know what they are)
  • Basecamp knowledge (http://basecamphq.com/)
  • Drupal knowledge (http://drupal.org/)

Pluses:

  • Familiarity with software development methodologies (XP, Scrum, etc)
  • Other CMS experience: (WordPress, Joomla, etc.)
  • Official stuff: PMP Certification, SCRUM master, etc.
  • Ability to create TPS reports (Please don't forget the coversheet!)
  • Read the book the Mythical Man-Month
